Small Kitchens Ideas

Stovetop Shelf

To expand a tiny kitchen in his San Francisco apartment, designer Scot Meacham Wood added additional shelves. The cabinetry is located in the Interior Semigloss at Scuba Black of Ralph Lauren Paint. The drapes are a Christopher Hyland plaid.

Matching Trim

In a 295-square-foot Brooklyn studio apartment designed by Nick Olsen, the kitchen nook, done in green and white to blend in, gets a helping of charm with grosgrain ribbon trim and a painted plaid backsplash, installing tv wall mount.

Mirrored Cabinets

Antiqued mirrored glass on cupboard doors enlarges the small kitchen in a Brooklyn townhouse adorned by Jonathan Berger. Granite countertops and backsplash in Imperial White are out of E. Stone.

Tiny Cabinets

Designer Amanda Nisbet injected heat into a contemporary Manhattan apartment with a Macassar wood island and Tom Dixon Mirror Ball pendants. To squeeze in storage, cubbies that are small fill in the area over a bright window.

Thick Ledge

While our 2017 Kitchen of the Year did not skimp in space, San Francisco designer Jon de la Cruz employed plenty of efficient secrets to max out the space. The chunky 11/4-inch-thick Caesarstone counter extends the wall up to the base of the window, making a place to get a soap dispenser (or wine glass).
